This birthday weekend was amazing, and full of good friends and general mayhem. I can’t get into it yet until I get the pictures from my friend Molly, so for now, enjoy one of my birthday gifts.

My sister Tricia is a metalsmith and jeweler, dealing primarily with sterling silver and enamel, and she’s fantastic. Check out her website and Etsy shop, if you haven’t already.

Love it, obviously, and may have to come up with reasons to wear it every day. And hey, Trish just started her own blog! It’s not quite ready to go yet, but once it is you’ll be hearing allllll about it.

Every so often, Back to the Nest will showcase a totally bitchin’ blog that I’m totally jealous of.

Today, the very first Blog Envy honor goes to EVERYDAY | Kaleena Porter. Kaleena is a former co-worker of mine, with a single orange pinkie nail and a serious love for great musical stylings. Newly graduated and also back to the nest, Kaleena is a Seattle based graphic designer and html goddess, with a knack for taking white space and gorgeous photos and turning it into some serious eye candy.

My sister just added a few new pieces to her jewelry shop on Etsy!

Two new versions of Tricia (Lachowiec) Harding’s famous swirl flower pendant are now available, each featuring a pink tourmaline in the center. Both are silver of course, but you have the option of purchasing either the light or oxidized style (or both!).
